Training furthers EU-ASEAN cooperation on Border Management

23 police and immigration officers from 9 ASEAN Member States participated at the 3rd Integrated Border Management Operational Training organised in the framework of the EU-ASEAN Migration and Border Management Programme II. Law Enforcement Agencies dealing with migrant smuggling, human trafficking and border management security challenges in the ASEAN Community were trained on the examination of counterfeit documents, the use of INTERPOL policing capabilities, the difference between human trafficking and migrant smuggling, following a human rights approach.
