As part of the EU-supported HelpAge International, the East Asia/Pacific network on Ageing is building its capacity to gather and enable representation of the views of older people across ASEAN. Working with and for older people, it acts as a partner to ASEAN governments on welfare and development issues associated with rapid population ageing. In September, the network organised a Regional Conference on ‘Economic Implications of Ageing‘ and a field visit to an Intergenerational Self-Help Club (ISHC). ISHCs receive technical assistance from HelpAge International network, supported also by the EU. For more information, please see the press release.
