Taking cooperation in the food sector to a higher level, ARAC aims to be a regional coordinating centre for independent food safety risk assessment, to formulate scientific opinions, to provide advice on the safety of food, to contribute to the enhancement of the health of the ASEAN Community and to facilitate its food trade. It is supported by the ASEAN Regional Integration Support from the EU (ARISE) programme.
