Friends of the Lower Mekong meet in Laos

Senior Officials from Mekong countries, ASEAN Dialogue Partners and development agencies meet in the margins of the Lower Mekong Initiative Senior Officials’ Meeting to strengthen their support in the framework of the Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI). Launched in 2009, LMI is a multinational partnership intended to create integrated sub-regional cooperation among Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. It also coordinates a joint training program for environmental management which was also discussed at the ‘Friends of the Lower Mekong’ meeting in May. For more information, please see the website.
