Foreign Ministers of EU and ASEAN reaffirm increasingly strong partnership

Thailand hosted the 21st ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting, co-chaired, on behalf of the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, by the Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák and the Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai. Bringing together Foreign Ministers from EU and ASEAN Member States, the two leading examples of regional integration in the world pledged to continue working together on a range of issues ahead of the 40th anniversary of relations between the two blocs in 2017. Foreign Ministers adopted a joint Bangkok declaration, reaffirming commitment to addressing global challenges and to fostering rules-based approaches to promote security and prosperity for their citizens.
