29-30 September, Yangon | 11-12 October, Hanoi

25 participants from ASEAN Member States and 6 observers from the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) of Myanmar were trained in analysing Foreign Direct Investment statistics at a workshop in Yangon, addressing phenomena such as indirect foreign ownership, transit investment, and round-tripping, as these types of investment can largely divert investment policies from their expected results. On International Merchandise Trade Statistics, another workshop was held in Hanoi, with the participation of ASEANStats. For more information, please see the press release and the COMPASS website.
