The first EU programme to support the creation of the ASEAN Single Aviation Market (ASAM) is nearing finish line. The €4.7 million ASEAN Air Transport Integration Project (AATIP) held its last Steering Committee meeting in October. Before officially closing, the project will hold ‘ASEAN-EU High Level Single Aviation Market Talks’ in Manila on 16 November with the participation of Mr. Henrik Hololei, Director General for Mobility & Transport at the European Commission, EU Ambassador and senior transport officials from ASEAN Member States. The EU continues to assist ASEAN in developing ASAM further through the upcoming ARISE Plus programme, due to start in 2017. For more information, please see the AATIP website.
