Hosted by the Royal Brunei Police Force, the 6-day training on integrated border management contributed to building expertise and capacity of countries in the region to address crimes such as illegal immigration, people smuggling, illicit trade, and terrorism, using INTERPOL’s global policing capabilities. These include I-24/7 secure police communications system, global Notice alerts, and Stolen and Lost Travel Documents database. This training was supported by the EU-ASEAN Migration and Border Management Programme II – a 3-year programme, implemented by INTERPOL since October 2015.
