21-22 April | Siem Reap, Cambodia

The 14th ASEAN Regional Forum Inter-Sessional Meeting on Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (ARF ISM CTTC) was co-chaired by Cambodia and the EU for the first time.   The co-chairs managed to add value and issues of common interest to the already very rich agenda. Discussions covered maritime security, piracy, cyber–security, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats, organised crime, migration, human trafficking and different types of smuggling, and environmental crime. In making its first co-chairing of an ARF ISM on CTTC a success, the EU had a strong presence of officials from the European Commission and experts from its Member States (UK, Romania), sharing their best practices and lessons learnt on addressing trans-national organised crime, human trafficking and migration.
