ASEAN improves border controls

‘The ASEAN Workshop on Improving Border Controls and Strengthening the Capacity of Law Enforcement Authorities to Address Irregular Migration and Trafficking in Persons’ brought together Senior Officials on Transnational Crime and Human Rights bodies. Organised under the ASEAN Committee on the Implementation of the ASEAN Declaration on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers (ACMW), the workshop adopted a list of recommendations, aiming to reach effective law enforcement and human rights based approach to trafficking in persons and irregular migration.
