ASEAN Economic Community: Economic Ministers meet EU Trade Commissioner

With the EU being ASEAN’s second largest trading partner and largest source of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows, the 14th Consultations of the ASEAN Economic Ministers and the EU Trade Commissioner expressed continued engagement to further enhance the strong trade and investment relations between the two regions. The Ministers appreciated the tangible outcomes of the various EU-ASEAN cooperation programmes, and expressed their continued support for the implementation of ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint 2025.
