Jogjakarta, Indonesia, 11-12 January 2016. In preparation for the ASEAN Customs Transit System (ACTS) pilot planned for later this year, ARISE ran a two-day Customs Procedures Workshop for all ASEAN Member States.  The workshop covered the Customs procedures to be performed in conjunction with the ACTS at departure, transit and destination.  Guidance was also provided on how to handle cases of diversion of the transit movement and other incidents en route.  In addition, a session was held on how ACTS manages risk management.  This event will be followed up with further Customs training in the pilot countries, prior to the start-up of the ACTS pilot.
